Hey guys!

I’m pulling together all the final prices for my first build! Your site has been a huge help – thank you!!  I am going to use the OSDoge 1.5 and Naze32 acro rev6 and want to power my Naze off the OSD, but as I’m walking through the build in my head, I’m concerned about the ESC’s. I’m using the Lum. 20a mini with simonk etc and the built in BEC … Is that a problem?? Am I over thinking this?? (I’m so pumped to start the project that I’m probably obsessing:-) ) basically if I’m using the doge to power the Naze and my esc already have a BEC do I need to get opto ESC’s??

i hope that isn’t too confusing, if I haven’t given enough or the right info let me know. Again, fist build:-)

THANKS!!

The built in BEC shouldn’t be an issue-  The best thing to do would be to only connect the ground and signal wires to the ESCs and omit the power wire- although, in our testing, having multiple BECs connected hasn’t really effected performance-

From an engineering standpoint, eliminating the power wires makes sense, but then again, so does adding ferrite beads, using G10 over carbon fiber, etc.

So again, in theory, you should eliminate the power wires from the escs-   In actuality, it probably doesn’t matter. 😉

I hope that helps!
