M200 mini drone pulls way back even when trimmed

Hello!

I have a Skyrocket M200 micro quadcopter. I purchased it to practice flying before I buy a real quadcopter. I’ve become quite good at trimming my quad as well as near perfect at low hovering and flying quickly indoors. upon my last recharge and use i have been unable to “accelerate” past a low hover before the copter uncontrollably and quickly drifts backwards. there is no hair in the motors and all of the props are on the proper motors. it seems to only happen when going past the mid range accel. point on the controller. what could be some fixes?
