I don’t find a case sized for this so is this just typically mounted open aired above the FC? Does it hold accuracy mounted between the CF top and bottom plates?

Gps units are somewhat particular about their mounting location. I’m not saying that it won’t work mounted above your flight controller and buried in your build, but it would most likely work best mounted high and away from other components. Things like video transmitters, radio receivers, and csrbon fiber can block the signal and make it more difficult to pick up satellites.
