SimonK esc with cleanflight

What protocol do i choose under configuration for my esc in cleanflight. I am using simonk esc’s. I have currently chosen PWM and it seems to calibrate but want to make sure that another protocol is better to use. Thanks.

Is the SimonK firmware compatible with any of the other protocols that would be good for learning to fly and later diving into freestyle and racing.

The SimonK firmware supports only one communication protocol, which is “PWM” You could probably flash BLHeli onto the ESC to get additional protocols.

Hi Jeremy,  If using SimonK firmware,  Then it is probably best to stick with PWM.

The other options are very esc specific, and although each has it’s own advantage and disadvantage, PWM is a good fallback and should work with all ESCs.
