Taranis x9d cc3d wiring help

I am fairly new to quadcopters and FPV, and have recently purchased a QAV250 from another vendor.  With the quad, I also ordered a Taranis plus transmitter and X8R receiver.  I have no freaking clue how to hook up the cables from my CC3D flight controller to my X8R!  The explanation was for cables that were colored black, red, white, blue, yellow, green, orange, and purple.  The cables I received are black, red, white, violet, yellow, green, violet, and yellow.  I have been educated guessing on how to hook these up, but have not figured it out yet.  When I open my ground controller application from open Open Pilot, I can get everything to work on the transmitter in the app, minus my yaw and flight control switch.  I wish there was more information online (I’m sure there is), but I don’t know how to find it.  Please help!

There is a vast community of people that are flying Open Pilot that can help you.  The main resource for open pilot is here:
http://wiki.openpilot.org/display/WIKI/OpenPilot+User+Manual

If you are hooked up via ppm and you cannot get the yaw or flight control switch working, you might want to consider messing with the mixes in the radio, as it is usually what is wrong when you can see some inputs to the flight controller but not all.

My advice to you would be to read through the manual to learn about the pinouts on the ccd, then read through the opentx software for the radio.  (The open tx community has a great site that can help you learn.

it’s here:
http://open-txu.org

if you go through the site you can master that radio.

I am sorry that I cannot offer more advice than that.  Purchase from me next time, as I try to make sure that I personally help get everybody flying.

My Blog is a decent resource too:
quadquestions.com/blog

and my videos:
youtube.com/quadquestions.

I hope that that helps.  Good luck!
