I just got an Immersion 5.8 tx to replace the 1.3 that was installed when I bought my QAV and the wiring is totally different from the simple wiring on my 1.3. It came with a red/black plug and a large plug with a 5v out where as the 1.3 just had one plug and the red was power to the tx.

The 2-wire molex connector on the left side of the vtx supplies power from the flight battery directly to the video transmitter. The two wires from left to right are ground and then battery/power in. The 5-pin molex connector supplies (from left to right) Audio Right, Audio Left (these can be removed or left disconnected if you don’t have a microphone or don’t want to hear the buzzing of your motors while flying FPV), followed by Video In, 5V out (if you want to power a 5V camera) and ground out (only used if running the 5V out to power a camera). You really only need to connect 3 wires just like your old 1.3 video transmitter unless you want to use the 5V out (with the ground) or if you want to transmit audio along with your video. I have included a picture of the video transmitter which is labeled exactly the way I just described so you shouldn’t have any problems. I hope this helps!
