What is the source of power for the Naze32 flight controller?

Hello again.

My question this time has to do with the power distribution or flow within a quadcopter. It appears the motors receive power via the ESCs and the ESCs receive power from the on-board Li-po battery.

It also appears that the power from the receiver is supplied via the Naze32 flight controller. Where does the Naze32 get its power?

Do I need to provide 5 volts to the Naze32 via a regulator connected to the on-board battery?

It appears some ESCs provide 5 volts on the signal side of the device.

Any guidance or suggestions are appreciated. David

Thanks again for the response to my question. I will investigate both options you have suggested.

I don’t know much about a BEC or the OSDoge device. Reasons for a bit more research.
